Running a fleet of VIVE headsets, without the headache.
A closer look at HTC's device management platform for VIVE standalone headsets and trackers, what it actually does, how enrolment works, and what to check before you commit to it.
VIVE Business+ is HTC's own management platform for VIVE standalone headsets, built for organisations running more than a handful of devices. Rather than setting each headset up individually, an admin enrols devices centrally, then manages settings, content and updates for the whole fleet from a single dashboard.
It works with VIVE Focus Vision, VIVE Focus 3, VIVE XR Elite headsets, and the VIVE Ultimate Tracker, so a single platform can cover most of the standalone VIVE range rather than needing separate tools for headsets and trackers.
Built to cover the whole job.
Device management
Enrol headsets, update settings and configurations, and manage devices remotely without needing physical access to each one.
Content management
Upload your own apps and media, manage a content library, and deploy updates to headsets across the fleet from anywhere.
Advanced features
Customisable UI options and multi user tracking modes, including access to VIVE's Location Based Software Suite for shared, free roam experiences.
API access
Deeper platform and device level access for teams building their own applications or integrating with existing systems, available on the Custom plan.
Online and offline versatility
Run the full web platform online, or manage core features offline through the VIVE Business+ Console for locations with limited connectivity.
Tracker management
Manage VIVE Ultimate Trackers alongside your headsets, with tracker specific features only available through this platform.
Beyond basic device management.
Once a fleet is enrolled and running, VIVE Business+ has a set of features built specifically for VIVE hardware, going further than simply pushing updates. Two worth knowing about are locking a device down to a single experience, and giving the headset your own branding rather than HTC's default startup screen.
Kiosk Mode
Lock a headset to a single experience, so whoever picks it up sees only what you want them to, with options for tutorials, app permissions and network security.
Custom branding
Replace the default startup screen with your own logo and animation, so a headset feels like part of your organisation from the moment it turns on.
Two ways to enrol a headset.
QR code, over the air
Configure a headset's settings in the dashboard, then scan a QR code with the headset itself to enrol it wirelessly, without any cabling needed.
USB, for local setups
Plug a headset in directly via USB using the VIVE Business+ Console, useful for enrolling devices without relying on a network connection.
Two starting points.
Ready to use, cloud hosted
Access the web platform straight away to enrol and manage headsets and trackers, with tracking and map sharing features included for shared, free roam setups.
Ask us about this plan →Offline, API access or both
Built for fully offline setups, high security environments, or teams that want API access to build their own management interface on top of the platform.
Ask us about this plan →Worth knowing before you commit: commercial use of VIVE Focus 3, VIVE Focus Vision Business Edition and VIVE XR Elite Business Edition requires an active VIVE Business Warranty & Services account. Support is not available until that account is registered and active, so factor this in alongside VIVE Business+ itself.
Certified against recognised standards.
HTC holds two relevant certifications for VIVE Business+, worth knowing if your organisation has its own compliance requirements to satisfy.
